A striking Art Deco candle sconce from the renowned Swedish lighting manufacturer Arvid Böhlmark’s Lampfabrik, dating to the 1920s/30s. Crafted from patinated iron and leaded glass, mounted on a wooden backplate.
The sconce features a rectangular mirror divided into three sections, framed in dark metal with an ornamental crest reminiscent of stylized flames or a blooming fan—an unmistakable hallmark of the Art Deco era. Below, the delicately shaped candle holder extends outward, inviting a soft, flickering glow to reflect against the aged glass.
The back is faintly stamped “Aktiebolaget Arvid Böhlmark, 264”, a testament to its authenticity and provenance. Böhlmark’s Lampfabrik was a leading name in early 20th-century Scandinavian lighting, known for its high-quality craftsmanship and innovative designs blending function with sculptural beauty.
Dimensions:
Height: 30 cm
Width: 15 cm
Condition: Wear consistent with age, with marks and scratches on the mirror, adding to its rich patina and vintage character.
An exquisite piece that brings the timeless elegance of Swedish Art Deco design into any space—perfect for adding an atmospheric touch to a hallway, dining area, or curated vignette.
