Esaias Thorén (1901–1981). Two elegant figure studies from Paris, 1925, capturing the sculptural presence of the male form with both restraint and clarity. Executed in pencil, these nude sketches reflect Thorén’s early academic training before his involvement with the Halmstad Group and Surrealism. One drawing bears the artist’s stamped signature “ETH Paris 1925.” Both have been recently reframed in silver-toned wooden frames with art glass, and come with the preserved original backing noting: Stämpelsignering intygas – Elsa Thorén (Signature stamp certified by Elsa Thorén).
