A small and sculptural vase by Just Andersen, produced in Denmark in the 1930s. Executed in his signature Disko metal, the alloy he developed and became known for, the piece is a refined example of Danish Art Deco.
The compact, rounded body rests on a subtle foot and is offset by a slightly angled neck and an organic, sinuous handle that lends movement to the otherwise pure silhouette. The dark patina has developed beautifully over time, enhancing the sculptural quality of the form.
Stamped to the underside with Andersen’s triangle mark and “Just Denmark.”
