Artist bio:

Ellen Jakobsson is a Swedish artist based in Stockholm, working across painting, textiles and drawing. Educated at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design, her work explores the quiet intersection of landscape and emotion.

Jakobsson paints intimate, atmospheric compositions, working primarily in oil or gouache. Her paintings center around themes such as recognition, memory and longing. 

Often painted en plein air, the motifs are shaped by the passing of seasons, shifting weather and changing light. The result is a body of work imbued with stillness and quiet intensity, inviting the viewer into a contemplative pause.
